Practice Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary care and management, ensuring that our practice runs smoothly while providing exceptional service to our clients and their beloved pets. This role requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for animal welfare.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the veterinary practice, ensuring efficiency and high-quality care.
- Supervise and train staff members in best practices for animal care and customer service.
- Oversee scheduling, inventory management, and supply orders to maintain optimal clinic functionality.
- Facilitate communication between veterinarians, staff, and clients to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, treatments, and procedures performed.
- Implement policies and procedures to improve clinic operations and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on veterinary terminology and advancements in animal husbandry practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot computer and hospital equipment on an as needed basis.
Experience
- Proven experience in a veterinary setting is essential; prior management experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including animal catheterization and critical care protocols.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with staff and clients.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel. It will also be necessary to become proficient in the use of practice management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Veterinary Technician
Full-time
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! This full-time role comes with a sign-on bonus for credentialed technicians, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits. As a Vet Tech, you’ll play a key role in supporting our doctors, providing high-quality patient care, and educating clients. From assisting in exams and lab work to performing treatments, radiographs, and post-surgical recovery, you’ll be hands-on in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting doctors in the rooms for exams
- Vaccine preparation
- Restraint for lab work and treatments
- Performing treatments for outpatient appointments
- Triaging emergency cases
- Assisting technicians
- Expressing anal glands and performing nail trims
- Venipuncture for blood work
- Processing samples to send out lab work
- Operating in house lab equipment
- Setting up and performing radiographs
- Operate Practice Management software including input of charges and medical record keeping
- Client communication and basic GP education
- Stocking and cleaning exam rooms and hospital
- Knowledge of common medications and filling medications
- Administering subcutaneous fluids and injections
- Familiar with administering intramuscular injections and intravenous injections and
- placing intravenous catheter.
- Setting up IV fluid pumps
- Aid in recovery procedures for post surgical/anesthetized patients.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience, CVT Preferred
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- All other duties as assigned.
