Colleen continues to combine her love of animals and science as a well-versed Veterinary Technician. Passionate about animal health and welfare, her dog Lucky was the inspiration to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Holding a Bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University in public relations, Colleen especially enjoys interacting with clients. At home, Colleen enjoys listening to music, spending time with her two cats Strummer and Allie, and cheering on the Philadelphia Flyers!
As a seasoned veterinary professional with more than 25 years of experience under her belt, Brandi employs her appreciation for the human-animal bond each day as a Veterinary Technician. Her expertise in the field is an extremely valuable asset to our team. Brandi actively engages in research to stay on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine, all while keeping a light-hearted and fun work environment with her cheerful personality! Brandi shares her home with her three dogs, Irie, Del and Miko, a cat Kingston and Bob the turtle. She loves spending time with her two sons Garrett and Oneal.
With aspiration to attend Penn Vet and become a veterinarian, and while currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Rowan University, Liz works diligently as a Veterinary Technician at our hospital. Her passion for pets and drive to learn all facets of the field craft her exceptional work ethic. Liz has extra special interest in surgery and the challenge of emergency situations. At home, Liz loves to spend her time with her beagle Shortie and three cats, Sammy, Nora and Alaska. She also enjoys hiking and the beach.
Helping people and their pets is what Claire finds most satisfying about being a Veterinary Technician. With three impressive degrees in Biology, Secondary and Professional Education and Earth Sciences to her credit, she joined our team in 2016. The extensive experience she brings to our team from her work at the Academy of Natural Sciences, makes her a true asset and a great resource to our staff. She’s a member of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Technician Association and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America. She has special interest in Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, Enrichment/Behavior, Wound Care, Critical Care and Surgery. At home, Claire loves to spend time with her 3 fur babies Kai, Moz and Kakkoii. She also enjoys cycling, hiking and volunteering at ACCT.
Veterinary visits to care for his cats inspired Rob to learn all about the veterinary field. Fast forward years later and with a CVT title to his credit, Rob has become well versed in all aspects of the profession. He is a member of the National Association of Vet Techs in America as well as the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association. He says, “each case is a new, different challenge, and the learning never stops. Veterinary medicine is a fact-based work and a deeper look at life and what it’s made of.” At home he cares for his two cats Slash and Duff, and enjoys travel, food, drinks and music.
Growing up in different countries around the world, Vanessa’s greatest companions were her pets. Working closely with exotic pets at a nature center early on in her career, Vanessa knew that veterinary medicine was her calling. She attended Philadelphia University and obtained a International Business and Marketing degree with concentration in science. “The looks of gratitude in not only owners, but pets’ eyes,” is what Vanessa finds most satisfying about the veterinary field. She has special interest in exotics and behavioral medicine. She shares her home with her boyfriend Max and her two children Apollonia and Indira, as well as her 2 dogs, Luli and Big Bertha and cat, Java. Vanessa enjoys writing music, saving animals and fostering pets.
Office Manager
Jessica wears her “Failed Foster Mom” title proud! When not at home caring for her Bruce Wayne, her 3-legged cattle mix pup and her son Phoenix, she spends her hours attentively working as our hospital Office Manager. Her congenial personality makes her an excellent go to for all things veterinary! She enjoys interacting with clients, and especially sharing a love for their fur babies! Outside of the office she enjoys flea markets, hiking, movies and shows.
Rosemary’s love for running, reading and Netflix is secondary to her passion for pets! In addition to working meticulously as a receptionist for our hospital, she is an Accounting student at Temple University working toward her Bachelor’s degree. Her organizational skills and cheerful personality make her exceptionally valuable to our team. Rosemary is an advocate for animals in need of a forever home as a volunteer with Northeast Animal Rescue. At home she enjoys spending time with the love of her life, Leaf, her rescued Tabby cat!
A kitty purr is music to Katie’s ears! An advocate for homeless pets, she volunteers at her local animal shelter and has rescued 5 fur babies of her own: Dexter, Nora, Thea, Monty and Jean. A dedicated Fishtown Animal Hospital employee since 2015, Katie works persistently to provide clients and their pets with a great experience. Outside of her profession Katie loves to travel and enjoys food, music and classic films.
Zuri joined the Fishtown Animal Hospital team in 2017. As an all-star receptionist, she strives to provide the ultimate client experience and make each pet feel right at home! When she’s not answering phones, scheduling appointments or assisting our veterinarians and technicians, you can find her cuddling up to one of our adorable patients in for a visit. At home, Zuri enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
His passion for pets not only inspired Jared to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, but to open his home to 9 fur-children of his own! When he’s not diligently working to pursue his degree in Philosophy at Kutztown University, you can find him at our front desk assisting clients and patients as a receptionist. He is always at his customer service finest with his glowing personality, which also snagged him an Elle Magazine weekend internship recognition! Jared shares his home with Ken and Todd and their many fur babies. He enjoys textile design, art and music.
Tech Assistant Reception
As a Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist and SPCA Volunteer, Ariel’s well-rounded experience in veterinary medicine continues to assist her in building lasting relationships with our patients and their owners. Her drive to learn every facet of the field is extremely valuable to our team. “The love I share with a pet owner for animals” is what she finds most satisfying about each of her roles. She prides herself on her ability to make pets feel at home and comfortable during their visit. At home, Ariel enjoys relaxing with her furry BFF Dexter.
Veterinary Technician
Growing up in different East Coast states, Cat’s greatest companions were her many pets! Working closely with exotic pets at a nature center volunteer early on in her career, Cat knew that veterinary medicine was her calling! “Being an advocate for patients and the ability to give them a voice” is what Cat finds most satisfying about the veterinary field. She enjoys the constant challenge to learn something new, in a field with ever-changing treatments and technology. Her special interests include exotics and reptiles. She shares her home with her many pets including 2 cats: Jason and Johnny, 2 tree frogs: Tulio and Pudge, a guinea pig: Ripley and a bearded dragon: Ophelia.
Angela, a Levittown, PA native is working diligently to obtain her degree in Kinesiology from Temple University all while being an all-star Veterinary Technician and Receptionist at Fishtown Animal Hospital. Having four fur-babies of her own at home, Copper, Gunner, Boozer and Brody, dogs are the love of her life. When not studying or hard-at-work at our hospital, Angela loves to go to the beach and enjoys camping and reading.
